Hi there. I was watching a tv show online last night when my computer shut down, rebooted, and gave a serious error recovery message. The info said it was a blue screen error. I have an ethernet connected network printer (HP 7410 All-in-one) that malfunctioned after that. All the display panel lights were flashing. I pushed the power button to shut it off, and again to power on, but now it seems to be stuck in that process with the lcd displaying the HP Invent logo with a gray moving bar. It goes for a while like this, then goes black, and pops back again. I guess it's stuck trying to power on. Anyway I checked the device manager and everything there looks good. I checked all the printer cables and connections, reset the modem and router, but no help. The printer is not being recognized. I even did a restore but no help. I went to HP website and did a driver scan and it told me my drivers are up to date. I followed their advice under troubleshooting and deleted the printer under imaging devices under device manager and restarted but didn't detect it again. Then I uninstalled the printer but when I reinstalled the software it isn't showing anywhere so I had to cancel the software installation. My internet connection is good and everything else seems to be working well. I have sound and am able to watch videos. I use Trend Micro security but it wasn't blocking the printer connection when all this happened. Any suggestions on where to look, how to fix this, and what might have caused my printer to fail?
