Can't get things out of the startup! HELP!

I wasn't sure exactly where to put this so I thought I would put it here.

One of my biggest pet peeves are things in the startup that are not necessary! I am very anal about that and now I cannot get Yahoo IM OUT of it! Since I've upgraded my version, it is always putting itself BACK in it. Coincidently, AOL IM always does this, as well, and I've pretty much stopped using it.

There is nothing in the start-up folder and I've used MSCONFIG REPEATEDLY to take it out.

Why is it always putting itself back in? It seems to do it only when I launch the program again.

Help!!!!

a little help not much

Hi.
Well i am not a pro at computer but I think u need to configure ur software example yahoo IM so that it doesn't start up when ur window starts.. i think there is an option to that... also if the problem persist and you are not using the program, uninstall it. that's a bit easier. Well i hope that help :wave:

Have not used Yaahoo IM but at a guess there should be a setting like "load at startup".
In MSN there is a setting in "General" under "Sign in"
"Automaticlly run Live Messsanger whe I logon to windows"

Got it..I will look. I never had that issue before so maybe this is something new they've added as a default or something.
