yeah, go to ur c drive under my computer, then to documents and settings. Navigate to your username folder. go to ur pull down menus and select tools and navigate to "folder options". click the view tab. select show hidden files and folders. Click ok. now double click the local settings folder (it should be kind of opaque). navigate to ur history folder and trash all the items in it. If that doesnt work let me know..

what history items are you referring to? (typed URL's, MRU list etc)

 

If you mean the address bar in Explorer, click the arrow in the URL bar to drop down all the saved addresses, then hover the mouse over the one you want to get rid of. Shift-delete and it will disappear.

I tried that but the folder was empty - these are web pages we visited several months ago - all the others have cleared but not these ones.

 

Click Tools -> Internet Options -> Clear History -> Yes -> OK

Yeah ive done all that its just these few pages from months back that I cant remove.
