Do you have xp install disc?

Also, try searching the entire C drive for wininet.dll as there may be a backup in your dllcache which is a hidden system folder in c:\windows\system32.

If you find it, just copy it back to the system32 folder, restart and that should fix it

edit: i tried searching for the file, without success. i allso wrote the error that pops up about 20 times in the starting of windows and then again every time i try to start internet explorer:

apdproxy.exe - entry point could not be found

the procedure entry point SHRegGetValueW could not be located in the dynamic link library SHLWAPI.ddl

 

anybody know what do to?? im desperate

 

I am having the same exact problem (realy exactly Identical). . . .I have not found a fix yet.
