My laptop is Dell Inspirion 6000, it has crushed after a few days of showing that it had a vires or spyware. I purchased a virus and spyware remover on line which did not help. All my programs are showing empty how do I fix thisand what does this mean?

Can we assume that you mean crashed.
Have you tried doing a system restore back to a time everything worked OK?
Go start button>All Programs>Accessories> System tools> Restore.
Select a date in BOLD > follow the prompts.

Reboot and Restore are totally different. Which did you do?
Webroot makes lots of programs, but I doubt they caused your problems, but who knows what the "virus" has done.
