I have a small network (2 computers running XP on a wired network).
every thing was working fine. In the last few weeks the Internet has slowed to a crawl, I cannot send e-mail with an attachment,(sometimes can"t send e-mail without an attachment) I cannot print to my biz hub c203 printer.(i get an error that print failed.
Can someone help me fix this set of problems? They all started at the same time.
Thanks

Yes I am running Avira antivir Personal.
The computer may have installed sevice pack 3 near that time.
I don't know if this could be a router issue.
Is there a way I can check my router to see if this could cause the problem?
I tried a speed test and the download speed was 9148 kbps and the upload test failed.

You could try a different port on the router, or maybe a new cable from the router to the computer.

You might try a program called Malware Bytes, but DO NOT post the results here.

What kind of internet connection do you have, Cable or DSL? Could it be you are using the internet when lots of other people are home watching Cable TV?

Today I tried a different port on the router, no change.I also powered down the router and cable modem. turned the cable modem on first waited a minute and powered on the router, this still did not help. My problem is happening at all times of the day or night. I will look into the Malware Bytes.
Thanks

Hi
I ran the malwarebytes and discovered 7 issues. quarentined them and no difference in performance. I went today and purchased a new router. this has fixed my problem.
Thank-you for your efforts it is greatly appreciated.
