 Hello I don't understand what is kbps and kbit,mbit...speed that something is downloading but when I try to get a download speed I get 1479 download speed and 251 upload speed. I also get download of 184.9 Kbps and upload of 251 Kbps.
1479 is kilobits per second (Kbps) or 1479000 bits per second. This is what the ISP's
(internet service providers) specify.
What you will see reported on the computer for download speed is in KBps (kilobytes per second). A byte is 8 bits.
To get KBps (kilobytes per second) divide Kbps (kilobits per second) by 8.
1479 divided by 8 = 184.9 KBps (kilobytes per second).
