I just bought a new nvidia 9500 gt pci
Put it in, tried to boot it up went past the bios and then nothing happend.
Black screen but the monitor was still on and still had a green light
I looked everywhere and the only thing that I have is it might be the power supply but other than that I have heard nothing

What is the brand, and wattage of your PSU. Also include the make and model of your machine. If custom build what is the make and model of your mother board. Check the voltage also in BIOS.

I believe your PSU is too weak for your graphics card. I recommend a 600W or more PSU 80+ rating like Corsair. What brand and model cpu do you have, How many HDD do you have installed, includind USB devices? Try this website to calulate the wattage PSU you would need. Power Supply Finder

9500 Gt is a PCIe card (sometimes confused with the much older PCI card) the bare minimum power requirements are 350 Watt PSU if there is only one HDD, one CD drive and no external USB drives. Anything more hardware then that would be closer to Jacks recommendation of 600 Watt PSU.

I was able to find a 9500 gt pci from an offbrand manufacture
I have some small hardware like a USB headset and some other stuff
So even though I might not have good enough psu I think I will just go buy a 600 watt and see if that works
