hi and welcome to the forum have you checked the cable,what type of monitor are you using,if vga also check pins

 

it's a vga-dvi dongle. the monitor is a HP vs19e. i checked the cable. there is nothing visibily wrong with the cables or pins.

 

the system also freezes too when this happens. num lock, caps lock, etc do not respond. neither does mouse.

 

I also have the exact same problem. I'm in the middle of trying to solve it as well. I haven't had the chance to switch out my video card and see if it's a hardware problem or not, but I'm pretty sure it's a driver problem. I was using nvidia 190.38 drivers and I uninstalled that and downloaded a fresh copy of 186.18 and it's a little better, but doesn't solve the problem.
