usb port stops

Hello guys... I have seen similar threads around the net but this problem is a bit different.
Some of our users are having a problem with usb ports on their windows 7 machines.

I'm from Bosnia and we are using Fiscal cash registers. They are connected via USB but are seen as com ports and in device manager it is under ports labeled as "Tremol USB Serial Adapter 3.0.1". That's a driver made by manufacturer and it's been working correctly until last week.

The main problem is that program which controls the Fiscal cash registers stops and it says No Hardware which is of course the problem it says when the cash register is not connected. I've seen a lot of threads about the usb selective suspend setting and we turned it off on those machines but the problem still occurs.
Dows anyone have some other solution to this problem ? Any ideas about what else could be wrong ?
Thanx in advance.

Thank you for your reply Spunk.Funk. The computer we're working on right now is Vista (it started happening on Vista too yesterday) so this driver might not work. We tried changing to com4 but it is still the same. There are couple of yellow flags, photo's attached.

the Microsoft isatap network device is for ipv6 connections, which are not implemented yet. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/932520?wa=wsignin1.0
Right click the yellow flags in Device Manager and Uninstall. Right click any device after both are uninstalled and choose Scan For Hardware Changes, this should reinstall the device. if it asks for a driver, have it check online at Windows Update,

Thank you again. I just uninstalled them and after i scanned for hardware changes nothing happens and there are no isatap network devices any more under network devices.
We also noticed another thing. We have a batch procedure which used to copy certain backup files to usb stick. It doesn't do that any more but we can copy the same files through explorer so it seems as if we "wake up" the ports when we copy those files that way.

that is correct, the issatap devices should no longer be visible., so something did happen.
I can't speak for your batch file.
Go to Start/Search and type Power Options, click this. Click Change Plan Settings/Change advanced plan settings/USB settings/ Try disabling the selective suspend setting.
If that fails, Go to the computer/motherboard manufacturers support/download drivers site. Type in your make and model # and select your OS and download the Chipset driver (USB support)

Also in the Device Manager, expand Universal Serial Bus Controllers, and right click each USB Root Hub/Properties/Power Management tab and uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
