Win 7 - compatibility issue

Hi guys. Wondering if this is a compatibility issue.

I've upgraded my dell xps (quad core) from vista 32 bit to Win 7 64 bit operating system.

Now here is the problem. Everthing within an application is smaller compared to before. Internet Explorer 8 for example. The favourates bar and other icons within the top frame look smaller compared to how it was in vista. How can this be enlared? Not only the Internet but other applications dont fill the page as it used when i ran vista. I'm not talking about increasing the font size to "medium" or "large" as this did not solve the problem.

Can this be solved? Thanks.

check your screen resolution, right click desktop, personalize, display, resolution

The screen resolution is 1680 x 1050. I assume thats okay too.

that resolution will make things a bit small, you can lower it is bit and see if it is what you are wanting.

Resolution is not the issue. The size of text, layouts etc all within an application is very small. Same issue with a game called football manager and other programs. Just wondering if this is normal and if not what can be done about it? Anything to do with vista 32 to win 7 64?

Are all you apps Win 7 compatible and also 64 bit compatible?

I ran the test before updating the OS to Win 7. No issue there.

start --> Control panel --> display --> after that a window should pop-up that says "Make it easier to read whats on the screen" adjust that as needed, though try 110% first then just increase from there...
