BSOD Video Card Problem?

I bought an ASUS F50SF-A1 before school started this year and, from the start, it's had a BSOD problem. Randomly everything would lock up and BSOD. On restart, Vista would say that the problem was a video card failure and that I need to look up the newest driver. There hasn't been any other solution suggested but that. Today, my laptop has BSOD three times in the past 12 hours. I've been trying to find a solution for about a month now when I stumbled upon this forum and decided to give it a try. Hopefully you'll be able to help me.

Concerning the video card driver, there isn't a whole lot out on the nVidia GT 220M. But, if i'm not mistaken, I have reinstalled the most up to date driver.

Current driver version: 8.15.11.8631

Sidenote: My system also randomly freezes. Just completely locks up without a BSOD. This isn't quite as frequent as the BSODs.

To solve this problem would be to cure a lot of worry. I'm not the most computer savvy person in the world and wouldn't mind fixing a reoccurring problem I don't completely understand-
